The Finding Your Second Service (FYSS) Program is an online executive coaching program for military-connected aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and nonprofit leaders who want help finding their second service.
The Finding Your Second Service (FYSS) Program is an online executive coaching program for military-connected aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and nonprofit leaders who want help finding their second service.
The first portion of the Finding Your Second Service program is four hours of curated content from our team of Executive Coaches. During the curriculum, you will be expected to take the CliftonStrengths® assessment. The second portion of the program will include live one-on-one coaching with a member of our Executive Coaching team. Our coaches will review your assessment results with you, as well as discuss the reflective homework assignments completed during the first portion of the program.
This is an online program, so it goes wherever you are! There are no physical meet-ups for this course, so geography is not a concern for Participants.
This program is completely free to our Participants, thanks to sponsorship by the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families. While it is an exclusive program that requires application and acceptance, this career-coaching program is given at no cost to our Participants.
Absolutely! This program is for entrepreneurs of all stages. We encourage anyone who is interested in applying — our esteemed coaches will meet you wherever you are in your entrepreneurial journey! However, applicants who are in the ideation or beginning stages of entrepreneurship will be priority as the program best benefits those who need help finding their next steps.
There are four hours of videos throughout the program, which is self-paced. The expectation is for you to complete the digital coursework and schedule your coaching session with one of our executive coaches within a two-week period. The scheduled coaching session(s) may fall outside of the two-week time frame based on availability.
The Second Service Foundation’s Finding Your Second Service coaches are nationally accredited coaches, clinicians, and Gallup Certified Strengths Advisors.

You can use hashtags in a Quick Post, Chat message, and comment on web or mobile. Simply start by typing a “#” followed by text, similar to how hashtags work on other platforms. You can also use multiple hashtags to tag the same content.
Hashtags can contain letters, numbers, and the underscore character but they can’t contain other special characters (e.g., “&” or “$”) or extra spaces.
As you are typing the hashtag, we’ll show you a dropdown to surface existing available hashtags. The first 10 that show will be the highlighted hashtags. If you want to create your own, simply keep typing to create a new hashtag.
